The Ministry of YOS is a project set up by
the RAP Programme in partnership
with
The Bunker studios,
a professional recording and rehearsal space, with the aim of giving young people the
opportunity to develop new skills, form friendships and
become part of a group. One young person who came to the
Bunker
said: “I really enjoyed the afternoon and loved being on
the mike with the tunes pumping”.

Mission12-17 is a community
interest company which has taken over the Ku Club site
on High St West. The aim of the club is to get young
people off the streets giving them a safe secure
environment and includes sky sports, pool tables arcade
games, as well as a wii fit room and pamper room
(available soon). The club has two levels and will
operate a membership scheme.

Our Volunteers are trained to work with young people,
and offer support and guidance. |
The Bunker Art Exhibition - Sunderland YOS,
Resettlement and Aftercare Programme
(RAP) is working in partnership with Jungle Bricks Street Art
Project, local photographic artist Nicola Maxwell and
The Bunker
studios. The project aims to give young people skills that will
help them to secure future education or employment as well as
provide them with a hobby.

Volunteers are called Mentors and they are not paid. They
choose to work with young people like you, and provide you with
new opportunities.

The NHS Teen LifeCheck is a quick, easy and fun quiz that
guides young people through a series of questions about their
lifestyle. It helps young people to manage their own health and
wellbeing and make healthier choices in life. A few simple tick
box questions later and a mini individual action plan is
produced. It’s all completely FREE, anonymous and confidential.

Information Sharing and Confidentiality
"Sunderland Youth Offending Service has to share and obtain information under various laws and regulations including the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 and the Data Protection Act 1998.
This means that we can share information about you with the Local Authority,
Health Authority, Police Authority and other organisations to ensure you receive
the right service and to protect your safety and that of others. In some cases
we can share this information without your consent e.g. if it is to prevent a
crime, if the court asks us, etc. All the people who we are sharing your
information with have agreed to treat your information sensitively and
carefully."
