Celebrating 10 Years of Success
In 2010-2011 Sunderland YOS is celebrating 10 years of
success. Sunderland YOS started life in Sunderland over 10 years
ago as a small pilot for the reforms of the Crime and Disorder
Act 1998 which came into effect in April 2000. Since then
Sunderland YOS has gone on to be a top performing, award winning
service. This has been achieved through committed and motivated
staff, willing and enthusiastic volunteers and the support of
the local community. As part of our 10 year celebrations we are
keen to enable the people of Sunderland to get involved in
ensuring justice is done. If you would like to get involved in
Sunderland Youth Offending Service as a volunteer please visit
our volunteers page for more information. If you are involved in
a community project that could support young people who have
offended to give something back then please visit our
Restorative Justice page for more information on community
payback.
