 Services Language Point Can Offer You

Professional ManLanguage Point offers many services to our clients.  Below is a brief explanation of each service:

  • Face to Face Interpreting - An interpreter will attend a meeting or appointment to enable oral communication between professionals and clients where there is a language barrier.
  • Sight Translation - When you need to orally communicate a piece of written information in one language to a client who speaks another language, a face to face interpreter would interpret this for you.
  • Translation - This is the process of converting a piece of written text in one language into a written text in another language, such as reports, leaflets, posters and letters.  All translation projects that Language Point carries out are accompanied with a signed declaration letter, stored electronically and can be reproduced easily without additional cost.
  • Telephone Interpreting - Communications using an interpreter over the telephone, for short or urgent conversations.
  • BSL (British Sign Language) - If you would like to communicate in person with a deaf or hard of hearing client, the attendance of a BSL interpreter can be arranged.
  • Braille - Some blind or partially sighted clients can read Braille, by passing their fingers over specially raised dots on paper.  Language Point can arrange for written documents to be produced in Braille Format.
  • Audio - As an alternative to Braille translation for the blind and partially sighted, information can be recorded onto a cassette, CD or audio file for your clients.
  • Training of staff - Language Point run tailor made training sessions for staff working (or likely to work) with non-English speaking clients on how to access and get the best out of our services.
  • Statistical Information - Language Point can produce detailed and accurate statistical information for our clients.  This includes details of the most requested languages at Language Point of for your organisation.
